About us

Greetings and Welcome
Dr. Angela L. Williams
President, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.® Iota Lambda Omega Chapter

On behalf of the distinguished members of Iota Lambda Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, I am delighted to welcome you to the official website of the Pearl Foundation, Inc., our nonprofit philanthropic partner.

Since our chapter’s chartering in 1972, we have remained deeply committed to delivering meaningful and measurable service to the Howard County community. Central to that mission is our partnership with the Pearl Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization established to help extend and elevate our impact through scholarship, service and community-centered programming.

Together, Iota Lambda Omega Chapter and the Pearl Foundation, Inc. design and implement programs aligned with Alpha Kappa Alpha’s international initiatives. Through this collaboration, we are able to offer a wide range of impactful services, from awarding scholarships to high-achieving students and hosting youth leadership summits, to organizing health awareness workshops, economic empowerment forums and community enrichment activities.

Key endeavors supported through our partnership include:

  • Promoting Historically Black Colleges and Universities through awareness and scholarship;
  • Providing guidance and mentorship for middle and high school students; equipping the next generation with tools for success, service and civic engagement;
  • Addressing disparities and promoting holistic wellness in our community.

Whether you are a community member, civic partner, parent, student or donor, we invite you to explore the transformative work of the Pearl Foundation, Inc. and learn how you can get involved. Together, we are advancing our mission, empowering lives and creating a legacy of service that will endure for generations.

In sisterhood, partnership and service.
